Our Vision, by the Will of Allah
We ask Allah (God) , the Most Merciful, to put barakah (blessing) in everyone’s efforts. We strive for The Islamic Center of Portage and Vicinity to be a place where the local Muslim community in Portage can gather in the House of Allah (God) and grow closer to Him.
We aim to provide a place that abides by the Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, according to the understanding of the pious predecessors. These are the Sahabah may Allah be pleased with them all (the companions of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him), the Tabi’een (the companions of the sahabah), and Tabi’ee at-Tabi’een (the companions of the Tabi’een).
We hope to foster a sincere environment of brotherhood and sisterhood for the sake of Allah. Our hope is to provide an authentic Islamic environment for all ages to come and worship Allah subhanahu wa taala (Glorified and Exhalted is He), learn His beautiful religion of Islam, learn the teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, enjoy fun communal activities, spread the true beautiful message of Islam through dawah, and find support in an Islamic environment.

You have the opportunity to participate in the immense reward of building a masjid. Any amount will help whether big or small inshaAllah. May Allah reward you with sadaqah jaariyah - the continuous reward of charity after death - and a House in Jannah
عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: إذا مات الأنسان انقطع عمله إلا من ثلاث: صدقة جارية، أو علم ينتفع به، أو ولد صالح يدعو له
رواه مسلم
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
"When a man dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three: A continuous charity, knowledge by which people derive benefit, or a pious son who prays for him."

How to help and gain reward for building a House of Allah
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَنْ بَنَى لِلَّهِ مَسْجِدًا بَنَى اللَّهُ
لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ
Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said, “If anyone builds a masjid for the sake of Allah, Allah will build a house for him in paradise.”
Donate for the sake of Allah

One of the most important and influential things we can do is to make duaa for the successful completion of opening the Islamic Center.
